If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help.


Under our customer service returns policy you have up to 30 calendar days to return an item from the date of purchase or date of delivery. Any refund or exchange is offered entirely at our own discretion.

We do not give cash refunds but issue you with a credit note.

Donated Furniture / Electrical items:

Safe Haven is a reuse organisation and the majority of stock is kindly donated by supporters of the charity. We check all our donations to make sure they are safe and fit for purpose but are likely to show signs of wear and tear associated with previous use. Before you purchase any items from Safe Haven please make sure that you have thoroughly examined the item you wish to purchase and are satisfied with its condition. You will not be entitled to a refund for faults or damage that was obvious or pointed out by our representatives.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Your item must be in the original packaging.

Your item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase. It is our policy to issue a receipt for the goods you purchase. If you do not receive one, please ask.

Returned Large Furniture / Electrical Items:

Verification of Condition: Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you of our finds.

If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund in the form of a credit note.

Sorry we cannot give refunds on:

Clothing, DVD’s, CD’s, Videos, Computer Games, Earrings etc

Methods of Payment

Credit / Debit Card

If you ask to pay by cheque – this is at the Store Manager / Manageress sole discretion. You may be asked for the following information: Driver’s Licence, Passport and / or Utility Bill to verify your identity.

We are also grateful to receive payment / donation for house clearances, fundraising monies and memorial donations in cheque form.

Storage of purchased Furniture / Electrical Items:

If you are unable to take delivery of your furniture or electrical item(s) within three working days of purchase then, at the Store Manager’s / Manageress’s sole discretion, we may permit you to store your item(s) in our warehouse. You must provide a contact address and telephone number and arrange delivery / collection as soon as possible. However, if we agree to this service then an additional cost for storage will be applied. This cost will be discussed with you when you arrange for this service and all fees must be paid in advance.

If your item(s) is / are not collected or delivered within the specified time period then we reserve the right to end our contract with you by telephone or in writing. We will arrange a refund of the price paid for your undelivered item(s) excluding storage fees / administration cost. By using our storage facilities you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions then you will not be able to use our storage facilities.
